Welcome to The Homestead Childcare

The Homestead Childcare is a small nursery setting located in Ruislip. We are set in beautiful rural surroundings, close to Ruislip woods and Ruislip Lidos.

We have a large open space with trees and shrubbery, areas to hide and make dens! We have a patio area too with lots of fun things to do too.

We are a small homely setting offering places for children from 9 months to 5 years.

Sarah, the owner, is from a home-based childcare background, and values all that it stands for. Sarah is experienced in home based-care and therefore uses this knowledge and ethos at The Homestead Childcare.

Whilst we do have a separate areas, we tend to keep the setting as open plan and free flowing as possible allowing siblings to mix and children to learn from and experience positive interactions with mixed age groups. We see this as a great learning and emotional benefit to all the children and makes us feel like a very large family!

Children need happy, creative, thought provoking play partners to make learning happen through play, not only with adults but peers too. Our children of all ages play together and thrive in this kind of set up. The older children learn kindness, patience and understand and about being gentle, our younger children and babies see the older children as role models, they imitate their play, look up to them, learn the rules of conversation, copy how they conduct themselves at meal times and many other skills.

At The Homestead Childcare we like the closeness, the homely feel, the ability to go off and visit the park should we choose, we understand that some day's children want to run around and have fun and on others they wish to sit, have a cuddle and a story. We promote active learning and love exploring and getting stuck in. The children have a great time here and love learning through play. We believe that people play a massive part in creating this; we feel that warmth, love and laughter are so important and our wonderful team have this in abundance

Feel free to have a look around our website and please email us if you would like to book a visit. We look forward to seeing you soon
